ioGAS 4.4 (Build 102443) contains a number of new features including:

 

GOCAD®-Link

GOCAD® users can utilise the GOCAD live link add-on to work with their data in real time in both programs. Apply attributes and make selections and see the changes refreshed in the special live layer in GOCAD.

 

 

ArcGIS Export

Export an Attribute Map into an ESRI GeoDatabase with an associated *.lyr file.  The saved colour/shape/size symbology is displayed in ArcGIS as well as the visibility settings.

 

 

Weighted Sums

Weighted Sums is a simple multivariate technique to reduce several variables to one variable, where there is prior knowledge about the underlying processes.  Each variable is assigned an importance value which is then normalised to make ‘weights’ so that the sums of the squares of the applied weights is 1.

 

 

Vector File Copy/Save Options

Improved EMF and EPS vector file copy formats are now available and can also be used to save a plot window as a vector file along with the SVG format.  The copy and save options are all available from the right-mouse click pop-up menu on individual plots.

 

 

 

Reference Rock Nodes

A new (Ref Rocks) tab has been added to the Mineral Compositions tool to enable common rocks to be displayed in Scatterplots, SPLOM’s and 3D plots based on their chemical composition.  The rock standards available include a number of igneous rocks after Cox et al, 1979.  A separate (USGS Stds) tab contains general rock standards from the USGS.

 

Improved Regression Workflow

It is now possible to retain the selected variables and create columns/plots with different parameters without having to re-open the regression utility each time. Use the Back button to go back to the setup dialog to computer Robust values or change transformation type. Changes have been made to make error messages clearer and easier to interpret.
